From the narrow lanes of Ajmer in Rajasthan to leading a healthcare company, Firdous Khan's journey is one of resilience, determination, and purpose. Despite financial hardships, social challenges, and family responsibilities, she carved out her own path and today serves as the CEO of Surgenix Healthcare, a company committed to making quality healthcare more accessible.

Firdous spent her childhood in Ajmer, where she grew up as the eldest sister to three brothers. Her father worked as a waiter in a restaurant while her mother managed the household. Financial constraints were a constant reality at home, and at times. meeting ordinary expenses seemed like a big challenge.

These hardships only strengthened Firdous Khan's resolve to make a successful life.

Determined to support her parents, Firdous started working at a young age. She made and sold handmade bracelets and also took up sewing and knitting to contribute to the family's income.

A turning point in her life came when she watched her grandfather struggle to access medical care. She saw him wait for hours in hospital queues for consulting a doctor.

She realised common people lacked proper guidance throughout the edical treatment. These experiences aparked an idea in her mind —to make healthcare services simpler, more accessible, and more patient-friendly.

That vision would eventually evolved into Surgenix Healthcare, a company.

After completing her Class XII education, Firdous wanted to move to Delhi for fulfilling her dream. Her family was initially reluctant, for it was hard to accept that a young woman from a small town, would live and work alone in a metropolitan city. H

Eventually, she convinced her family by telling them she had secured a job in Delhi and moved out—a decision that proved to be the most courageous step of her life.

In Delhi, she began working with a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that worked on spreading awareness about menstrual health.

The job involved travelling to different parts of the country, and interacting with women from diverse backgrounds. This experience helped her understand the healthcare challenges women faced.

She realised that many women still lacked access to basic health services and accurate medical information. For many, timely medical advice remained out of reach, while treatment often proved complicated and unaffordable.

These experiences strengthened her commitment to social work. She launched the Pad Yatra, an awareness campaign focused on menstrual health and hygiene.

Travelling to several cities, she educated women about menstrual care, hygiene, and the importance of seeking proper medical attention. She also organised Periods Fest events, creating safe spaces where women could openly discuss issues that had long been considered taboo.

While leading these initiatives, Firdous also recognised that awareness alone could not address all the gaps in the healthcare system. Many patients struggled to identify the right doctor, choose the right hospital, or navigate the treatment process. She realised there was a need for a reliable platform that could guide patients from diagnosis to recovery.

This insight became the foundation for Surgenix Healthcare.

Firdous founded the healthcare platform with the aim of making medical treatment more accessible, transparent, and patient-centric. The company helps patients connect with experienced specialists, provides guidance throughout the treatment process, and simplifies healthcare decisions.
