Arjun Tendulkar finally got his much-awaited moment in the IPL as he made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants during their clash against Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on May 23.

The young left-arm pacer, who joined LSG ahead of the 2026 season after parting ways with Mumbai Indians, had spent most of the tournament waiting on the sidelines before earning a place in the playing XI.

Soon after the match, Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar shared an emotional message for him on social media, celebrating his perseverance and hard work. Calling him her “little brother,” Sara praised Arjun for staying patient and handling pressure throughout the season.

Her heartfelt post quickly drew attention online, with several celebrities reacting warmly. Actor Aparshakti Khurana and singer Harshdeep Kaur were among those who responded with heart and applause emojis.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar also expressed pride in his son’s journey. In a touching social media post, Sachin applauded Arjun for remaining focused, disciplined and positive despite waiting until the final stages of the season for an opportunity. He highlighted how the youngster handled both pressure and patience with maturity.

On the field, Arjun delivered a decent performance in his first appearance of the season. The pacer bowled his full quota of four overs, conceded 36 runs and claimed one wicket. Despite Lucknow Super Giants failing to defend their target of 197, Arjun emerged as the team’s most economical bowler in the contest.

The wedding saw the presence of several cricketing legends and Bollywood celebrities, including MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
