Ahmedabad-based design brand The Map Stores, founded in 2021 by Yash Suthar, is carving a niche in India’s premium wall decor segment with its handcrafted wooden world maps that blend design, geography and storytelling.

Headquartered in Gujarat, the company specialises in 2D and 3D wooden world wall maps designed for homes, offices and commercial spaces. All products are conceptualised and manufactured locally, allowing the brand to maintain quality control and consistency in design.

According to the company, its maps are increasingly being used in living rooms, home offices, cafes, co-working spaces and corporate environments as both decor elements and conversation pieces. The brand emphasises ease of installation, durability and the use of eco-conscious materials.

Founder Yash Suthar said the idea behind the venture was to offer premium wooden world maps made in India, reducing dependence on imports while combining global aesthetics with local craftsmanship.

The Map Stores operates under Motion Ink LLP and plans to expand its footprint within India, collaborate with designers and architects, and explore global markets with region-specific designs. The company also aims to innovate further in materials and installation experience as it scales its operations.
