Jammu and Kashmir police have killed the assassin of Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit of village Achen in Pulwama district within 48 hours. The Police also claimed to have killed another terrorist and recovered incriminating material including arms and ammunition from him. With this encounter, the police has killed two terrorists in the last 24 hours in Pulwama.

On Tuesday morning, the police killed terrorist identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat of Pulwama who was involved in the killing of the Kashmiri Pandit, father of three children on Sunday morning.

Kashmir Zone Police informed about the identity of the terrorist killed on Twitter:

He was killed in an encounter that lasted several hours. The police zeroed on him following intelligence input about he hiding in a house.

The Police said Aqib was an A-category) terrorist who initially worked for Hizbul mujahideen terror outfit and of later was associated with The resistance Force (TRF).

The Police said the operation against terrorists will continue across Jammu and Kashmir:
