Three Hindu families of Gornagar in Tripura's northern district of Kailashahar lost all their belongings in a deadly fire due to an electrical fault.

All three families used to earn their living by working in the gardens.

The fire quickly reduced their house, furniture, savings and hopes for the future to ashes.

In a few moments, everything was reduced to ashes, and they were left homeless under the open sky. In the cold weather, a total of 14 people from three families, including children and the elderly, were forced to spend the night in front of the burning debris.

In such a critical time, Aftab Ali, a young Muslim from the area, stepped in to helm. He opened the doors of his house and allocated three rooms for the affected families as a safe shelter.

Aftab Ali also took full care of the needs of the affected families. He provided cooking utensils, gas cylinders, rations, bedding and other basic items so that the families did not lack food and the essentials of life.

Meanwhile, the Sheikh Foundation also came forward to help these affected families. The foundation provided one month's ration, educational materials for students, and clothes for all affected families.
