Down by a goal, the Indian eves scripted a rousing 4-2 win over the USA in the FIH Pro League on Tuesday.

Deep Grace Ekka and Navneet Kaur scored in the first minute of the second half to lead India to victory in the first of the double-leg tie.

Sonika and Vandana Katariya were the other goal scorers for India.

Danielle Grega and Natalie Konerth scored for USA.

With this win, India has moved to 27 points, a clear five-point lead over fourth-placed Belgium in the league standings. Belgium has two more matches to play while the Indian girls conclude their campaign with their second leg tie against the USA on Wednesday.

India must win the tie to finish third in the FIH Pro League this season. Argentina have already lifted the League title.
