GS Delhi Aces capped a dream debut by clinching their maiden Tennis Premier League (TPL) Season 7 title, defeating Yash Mumbai Eagles in a high-octane grand finale at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium, according to a TPL release.
The title clash began with the women’s singles, where Sofia Costoulas continued her stellar run, overpowering Riya Bhatia with a dominant 18–7 victory to remain unbeaten in the singles category throughout the season.
Building on the strong start, Costoulas teamed up with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in the mixed doubles against Riya Bhatia and Niki Poonacha. The GS Delhi Aces pair dictated play with aggressive returns and assured net presence, sealing a convincing 16–9 win to further extend their lead.
In the men’s singles, Damir Dzumhur (World No. 57) delivered a solid performance against Billy Harris, winning 16–9. Despite the setback, GS Delhi Aces maintained a comfortable 11-point cushion going into the final match.
The contest concluded with the men’s doubles, where Billy Harris and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan showcased composure and control to defeat Niki Poonacha and Damir Dzumhur 8–4, sealing a commanding 51–36 aggregate victory and the Season 7 crown.
Earlier in the day, two fiercely contested semi-finals set the stage for the championship showdown.
In the first semi-final, GS Delhi Aces took on Rajasthan Rangers. The tie opened with Costoulas producing the largest winning margin of the season, thrashing Ekaterina Kazionova 19–6 in the women’s singles. The Rangers hit back in the mixed doubles, where Kazionova and Dhakshineswar Suresh edged past Costoulas and Nedunchezhiyan 13–12.
The momentum swung decisively in the men’s singles as Billy Harris dominated World No. 26 Luciano Darderi, winning 17–8. Harris then partnered Nedunchezhiyan in the men’s doubles to secure a 3–1 victory over Darderi and Suresh, completing a comprehensive 51–28 win and booking Delhi’s spot in the final.
The second semi-final saw SG Pipers Bengaluru face Yash Mumbai Eagles. Riya Bhatia edged Shrivalli Bhamidipaty 13–12 in the women’s singles before the SG Pipers struck back in the mixed doubles, with Bhamidipaty and Rohan Bopanna clinching a tight 13–12 win.
The turning point came in the men’s singles, where Damir Dzumhur held off Ramkumar Ramanathan 14–11. Although Ramanathan and Bopanna later won a tense men’s doubles match 13–12, Yash Mumbai Eagles edged ahead on aggregate, sealing a narrow 51–49 victory to reach the final.

GS Delhi Aces ultimately finished the tournament in emphatic fashion, lifting the TPL Season 7 title in their very first appearance with a dominant final-day performance.
