Pakistani security forces killed three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants after a suicide attacker blew himself up at the main gate of the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Nokkundi, Dawn reported.
According to the FC Balochistan South spokesperson, at least six armed militants entered the headquarters after the blast, prompting a swift retaliatory action. A clearance operation was underway. Another FC checkpost in Panjgur’s Gurmakan area also came under attack.
TTP, a banned outfit referred to by the state as 'Fitna-al-Khawarij', has escalated attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since ending its ceasefire with the government in November 2022. On Saturday, seven blasts rocked Quetta and Dera Murad Jamali, including one that damaged a railway track and suspended train services.
Meanwhile, a new Paank human rights report paints a grim picture of alleged “state-sponsored violence” in Balochistan. The organisation documented 87 enforced disappearances in October—mostly in Kech, Panjgur, Khuzdar and Dera Bugti—often during military operations. Eighteen released detainees reported severe torture, including electrocution and solitary confinement.

The report also confirmed 20 extrajudicial killings, many involving previously missing persons, which activists describe as a “kill-and-dump” pattern. Among them was Jahanzaib Baloch, abducted from Pasni in September; his mutilated body was found in Lasbela on October 1.
