US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor on Wednesday underscored the growing importance of the India-US partnership in shaping the future global economy through collaboration on artificial intelligence, resilient supply chains and innovation-driven growth.

Sharing a post by US Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jacob Helberg on X, Gor said the two countries are working together to develop trusted AI ecosystems that will drive economic growth in the coming decades.

"Great to join my friend @UnderSecE and partners at the second Pax Silica Summit. The U.S.-India partnership is central to building trusted AI ecosystems, resilient supply chains, and innovation-led growth that will shape the global economy for decades to come," Gor wrote on X.

Earlier, Helberg had described India as a key partner in the Pax Silica initiative, highlighting its role in promoting innovation-friendly regulations, trusted AI infrastructure and resilient supply chains.

"We look forward to continuing to build trusted ecosystems that will power the AI economy for decades to come," Helberg said.

The second Pax Silica Summit, held in Washington last week, brought together representatives from more than 30 governments and economies, along with new observer nations, to discuss the growing influence of artificial intelligence on global economic competitiveness.

Addressing the summit, Helberg stressed the importance of trusted international partnerships in creating resilient AI ecosystems, attracting investments and ensuring sustainable economic growth. The participating countries also adopted the Declaration on AI Opportunity, committing themselves to pro-growth AI policies and stronger supply chains.

On the sidelines of the summit, Helberg reaffirmed Washington's commitment to strengthening technology cooperation with India.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with India. India was one of the first top ten countries to join Pax Silica. Our Ambassador in India has been a remarkable steward of the US-India relationship, which we believe is among the most consequential bilateral partnerships of the 21st century," he said.

Helberg added that discussions with Indian representatives covered several priority areas, including the Quad, the Trust Initiative and practical collaboration between businesses from both countries.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Secretary S. Krishnan met Helberg to explore deeper cooperation in emerging technologies. Their discussions focused on strengthening diversified and trusted supply chains, semiconductor manufacturing, AI adoption and securing access to critical minerals.

Pax Silica, launched in December 2025 by the US State Department under Helberg's leadership, is the department's flagship initiative aimed at promoting secure AI development and resilient supply chains. The initiative seeks to build cooperation among partner nations in areas such as critical minerals, energy, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and AI infrastructure.
