Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi

Copper futures rose by Rs 12.95 to Rs 1,419.90 per kg on Wednesday due to higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery grew by Rs 12.95, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 1,419.90 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,659 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
