Reliance Jio Info comm Limited (RJIL) has reinforced its position as a leader in both voice and data performance across Delhi, according to the latest Independent Drive Test (IDT) report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
The report, which evaluates real-world mobile network quality across the Delhi Licensed Service Area (LSA), highlights that RJIL delivered the fastest download speeds and superior voice quality among major telecom operators during the December 2025 testing period.
The TRAI drive tests, conducted from December 15 to 18, 2025, covered 347.4 km of city routes and 12 hotspot locations, assessing network performance across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. The evaluation spanned urban zones, institutional hotspots, and high-speed corridors, offering a comprehensive snapshot of connectivity quality in the national capital.
In the voice services category, RJIL recorded a Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) of 98.36% and a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) of 4.44, reflecting excellent speech clarity. For comparison, Bharti Airtel achieved a 100% CSSR, Vodafone Idea (VIL) 99.64%, and MTNL 95.23%. In terms of call drops, RJIL reported 0.36%, while VIL had none, Airtel 0.12%, and MTNL lagged at 6.60%.
On the data front, RJIL led the market with an average download speed of 265.51 Mbps, significantly ahead of Airtel’s 168.92 Mbps, VIL’s 34.35 Mbps, and MTNL’s 4.40 Mbps. Upload speeds were topped by Airtel at 25.54 Mbps, followed by VIL at 22.96 Mbps and RJIL at 22.33 Mbps. Network efficiency measured through latency placed RJIL in second place, with 20.16 ms, just behind VIL at 20.19 ms. Airtel and MTNL recorded 21.09 ms and 22.06 ms, respectively.

The TRAI tests included high-density neighborhoods like Hauz Khas, Lajpat Nagar, and Chandni Chowk, as well as key hubs such as New Delhi Railway Station and Rashtrapati Bhawan. The regulator has shared the findings with all telecom operators to ensure strict adherence to quality of service parameters.
With these results, RJIL has not only demonstrated strong network performance in both voice and data, but also reinforced its commitment to delivering high-speed and reliable connectivity to Delhi’s millions of users.
