The first song from the upcoming military drama Ikkis, titled “Sitaare,” was launched on Wednesday, giving audiences their first look at the on-screen chemistry between Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. The track, sung by Arijit Singh, was unveiled at a promotional event attended by the cast.

The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat and the late cinema legend Dharmendra.

At the launch, Agastya Nanda appeared visibly emotional as he remembered Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, days ahead of his 90th birthday. He said sharing the screen with the veteran actor was an honour and a deeply personal moment for him.

“For me, it is very emotional because Dharam ji worked with all generations of my family. He worked with my great-grandfather, my grandfather — and I was fortunate to share the screen with him. As sir mentioned, it’s an honour, a huge privilege. I am extremely sad that he could not witness the love he truly deserves. It is emotional for all of us,” Agastya told the media.

Ikkis, releasing on December 25, marks Dharmendra’s final appearance on the big screen, concluding a cinematic journey of more than six decades.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film is a biographical war drama based on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest soldier to receive the Param Vir Chakra. Agastya Nanda plays the lead role, with Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev also in the cast.
