Actors Imani Lewis, known for "Vampires vs the Bronx", and Tanya Wright of "Orange Is the New Black" are set to feature in the horror drama film "Killa".
The film is directed by Laci Dent, who is making her feature directorial debut with the film, according to the entertainment news outlet Deadline.
"Killa" revolves around the life of Asa Jones, a girl from Louisiana who wants to conquer the world of girls’ basketball. When Asa sees her shot at the college scholarship slipping away, she begins to lose herself to a captivating force.
The production of the film is scheduled to begin in August. It is produced by Kareem Mortimer, Trevite Willis and Julia Chatwin of Best Yet Entertainment alongside Ellen Schmit and Maggie Flatley of Brickyard VFX Studio.
Besides "Killa", Lewis will also feature in the feature-length adaptation of writer-director Natalie Jasmine Harris's HBO Max short film "Pure". It also features DeLeon Hayes alongside the actor.

The project serves as Wright's return to screen after her 2018 series "Madame Secretary". She essayed the role of Dana Cook in the series.
