As O' Romeo arrived in theatres on February 13, Mira Kapoor turned the spotlight on husband Shahid Kapoor with an affectionate Instagram tribute that blended romance with admiration for his craft.
Calling him her “Romeo” and “destiny’s child,” Mira celebrated the film’s release with a set of intimate black-and-white photographs from the Mumbai screening held a day earlier. The candid frames, far removed from red-carpet poses captured quiet, personal moments between the couple. In one image, Mira wore a top emblazoned with “Juliet,” a playful nod to the film’s Shakespearean undercurrent, as Shahid sat beside her.
In her caption, she applauded Shahid’s “relentless spirit” and described his artistry as “talent beyond belief,” adding that “spectacular is an understatement.” She called O' Romeo his “best yet” and urged audiences to experience it on the big screen.
Through her Instagram Stories, Mira also praised the ensemble and technical team. She lauded co-star Triptii Dimri for bringing “ferocity with innocence” to her role and appreciated the film’s background score. She also extended compliments to Vishal Bhardwaj, describing him as a “genius of finesse,” and acknowledged the contributions of the cast and crew, including Nana Patekar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
Directed by Bhardwaj and presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, O' Romeo features Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead and opened during Valentine’s Week.
On the eve of its release, Bhardwaj shared an emotional note expressing pride in the project. He credited his department heads as the “real heroes” and thanked them for their commitment and integrity. The filmmaker also acknowledged associate Abhay Datt Sharma and creative producer Priti Shahani, saying their collaboration was invaluable.

Reflecting on his storytelling journey, Bhardwaj spoke about revisiting themes of revenge and the fragile line between love and violence. He described O' Romeo as an exploration of these emotional extremes — a narrative that channels societal anger and injustice into a powerful, redemptive force: love.
Ahead of its theatrical debut, the makers hosted a special screening in Mumbai attended by Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bhardwaj, marking a celebratory beginning to the film’s big-screen run.
