A new web series, Satrangi Badle Ka Khel, is set to premiere soon on ZEE5, promising a raw and emotionally intense narrative.

Directed by Jai Basantu Singh, the show features a strong ensemble cast including Anshumaan Pushkar, Mahvash, Kumud Mishra, Upen Chauhan, Saddam Sophia Hussain, Atul Kusum Sanjay, and B Shantunu.

The series follows the story of Bablu Mahto, the son of a launda dancer, who is compelled by circumstances to take up his father’s profession. Beneath his reluctant acceptance, however, lies a deep desire for justice, as he secretly plots revenge against the influential Singh family. The narrative explores themes of societal stigma, identity, relationships, and vengeance.

Speaking about her experience, Mahvash described the project as a transformative journey. She said the show’s gritty tone allowed her to step out of her comfort zone and explore a more intense and emotionally demanding role.

Anshumaan Pushkar highlighted the uniqueness of his character, noting that portraying a launda dancer—a profession often misunderstood—was both challenging and enriching. He emphasised the importance of depicting such realities with sensitivity and authenticity, adding that the role pushed him to rely on emotional depth rather than superficial drama.

Produced by Dilip Bachchan Jha and Ritesh Modi, the series aims to present a layered story that blends social commentary with compelling storytelling.
