Fans of The Powerpuff Girls were treated to a nostalgic moment as the original voice cast recently reunited in a rare public appearance.
The reunion took place at the Lexington Comic & Toy Convention, bringing together Tara Strong (Bubbles), E. G. Daily (Buttercup), and Cathy Cavadini (Blossom) along with Tom Kane, who voiced Professor Utonium.
The gathering was particularly emotional as it marked one of the first public reunions since Tom Kane suffered a stroke in 2020 that affected his speech and mobility.
Sharing moments from the meet on social media, E.G. Daily expressed joy at seeing Kane again and witnessing his recovery, calling him the “Powerpuff Girls father.” Kane also posted a picture from the reunion, writing, “Reunited with my girls!!”
Tara Strong described the experience as deeply emotional, saying the cast was overjoyed to reconnect with their “professor” after such a long time.
According to reports, Kane had largely stayed away from public life following his stroke, which impacted the speech centre of his brain. His family had earlier shared that he remained in good spirits and was showing gradual improvement.
