Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and producer Anand Pandit are set to collaborate once again for a new horror venture titled 1920: Cold Winter, the latest instalment in the popular 1920 franchise.
The upcoming film will expand Bhatt’s long-running horror universe that began with the release of 1920 in 2008 and has since developed a loyal fan following.
This marks another collaboration between Bhatt and Pandit following 1920: Horrors of the Heart, which was directed by Bhatt’s daughter, Krishna Bhatt, and released in 2023.
The new project will be co-produced by Roopa Pandit and Rahul V. Dubey.
The announcement comes shortly after the strong box-office performance of Bhatt’s latest directorial venture, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, a sequel to the cult horror hit Haunted 3D.
Released on June 12, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past follows a troubled man seeking refuge in a secluded mountain mansion overlooking the mysterious Maniktala Lake, only to find himself confronted by unsettling supernatural occurrences linked to his past.
According to the makers, the film has already crossed Rs 19 crore in worldwide box-office collections, reinforcing audience interest in Bhatt’s signature horror storytelling.
