ACME Solar commissions 68 MW of 100-MW wind power project in Gujarat

New Delhi

Renewable energy firm ACME Solar on Monday announced the commencement of operations for 68 MW capacity of its 100-MW wind power project located in Surendranagar district of Gujarat.

The project is being implemented in stages through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, the company said in a statement.

With the commissioning of the latest 12-MW phase, the cumulative operational capacity of the wind project has increased to 68 MW, out of the planned 100 MW, it added.

Power generated from the project will be supplied under a long-term arrangement through a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement signed between ACME Eco Clean Energy and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The wind power project has received financial backing from Power Finance Corporation (PFC).

Headquartered in Gurugram, ACME Solar Holdings Limited is an integrated renewable energy company with interests across solar, wind, energy storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) and hybrid power solutions.

The company currently operates a renewable energy capacity of 2,958 MW, while an additional 4,562 MW is under various stages of construction. This includes battery energy storage systems with a total planned capacity of 15 GWh.
