Samsung’s next-generation flagship lineup is already generating buzz online, and fresh leaks now suggest that the rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro may introduce a major camera upgrade that could even outshine the Galaxy S27 Ultra in one area.

Earlier reports had indicated that Samsung was planning to replace the “Plus” variant in its flagship series with a new “Pro” model starting from the Galaxy S26 lineup. While the company reportedly retained its traditional naming structure for the Galaxy S26 series, speculation surrounding the Galaxy S27 family now hints that the Pro branding could finally debut next year.

According to recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro may feature an upgraded telephoto camera setup built around a 50-megapixel All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) sensor. The technology is expected to deliver improved image quality and enhanced low-light photography compared to a standard telephoto lens.

The report claims the Galaxy S27 Pro could offer 3.5x optical zoom using the ALoP system, while the flagship Galaxy S27 Ultra may continue with a conventional 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom. Apart from this difference, both devices are expected to share similar rear camera hardware, including a 200-megapixel primary sensor and an ultrawide shooter.

Samsung previously explained that the ALoP lens structure places the optical array above the prism, helping reduce module size while improving brightness in captured images. The design is also said to help smartphones perform better in challenging lighting conditions.

Additional leaks suggest the Galaxy S27 Pro may sport a 6.47-inch OLED display and deliver flagship-grade specifications similar to the Ultra variant. However, the Pro model could reportedly skip support for Samsung’s S Pen stylus.
