JBL has introduced its new Bar MK2 soundbar range in India, marking the company’s 80th anniversary celebrations. The lineup includes four models — Bar 1300MK2, 1000MK2, 800MK2, and 500MK2 — all designed to deliver cinematic audio experiences with Dolby Atmos and MultiBeam 3.0 support.

The new series focuses on immersive home entertainment, with higher-end variants offering detachable wireless surround speakers for a theatre-like setup. Depending on the model, the output ranges from 750W to a powerful 2,470W, catering to different room sizes and user needs. JBL has also added features like SmartDetails, PureVoice 2.0 for clearer dialogue, and AI Sound Boost for enhanced bass performance in select models.

Price and availability in India

The JBL Bar 1300MK2 is priced at Rs. 1,74,999, followed by the Bar 1000MK2 at Rs. 1,49,999, the Bar 800MK2 at Rs. 1,24,999, and the entry-level Bar 500MK2 at Rs. 64,999. The soundbars are available through JBL’s official website, major retail outlets, and leading e-commerce platforms across the country.

Features and specifications

All four models support Dolby Atmos, DTS audio formats, and JBL’s MultiBeam 3.0 technology for spatial sound. The flagship Bar 1300MK2 delivers up to 2,470W output with an 11.1.4-channel configuration and dual 8-inch subwoofers, while the Bar 1000MK2 offers a 7.1.4-channel setup with 960W output and a 10-inch subwoofer.

The Bar 800MK2 and Bar 500MK2 cater to mid-range and budget segments with 780W and 750W output respectively. While the top three models feature detachable wireless surround speakers, the 500MK2 comes with a fixed speaker design. Up-firing drivers for true Dolby Atmos are available in the 1300MK2 and 1000MK2, while the 800MK2 combines Dolby Atmos with DTS Virtual:X.
