M K Stalin left on Saturday for a brief trip to Kodaikanal following the conclusion of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026.
Stalin, who is also president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, travelled by chartered flight to Madurai and then continued by road to the hill station. He was accompanied by his wife Durga Stalin and other family members.
The four-day visit comes two days after polling for the 234-member Assembly concluded on April 23. He is expected to return to Chennai on April 29.
Stalin had campaigned extensively across the state for over a month in support of DMK-led alliance candidates.
This is not the first time he has chosen Kodaikanal for a post-election break. He had also visited the hill town after the 2021 Assembly polls and again following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has already left for a short trip to Dubai with his wife and daughter.
