The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has issued a significant statement condemning terrorism and emphasiing the importance of peace and dialogue in resolving the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a special online meeting held on May 8, the Board's leadership expressed deep concern over the growing hostilities along the India-Pakistan border. They passed a resolution supporting all necessary measures taken by the Indian government to safeguard the nation's security and urging unity among citizens, political parties, armed forces, and the government in confronting these threats.

The Board unequivocally denounced terrorism, stating that it is incompatible with Islamic teachings and humanitarian values. They called for the resolution of issues between nations through bilateral dialogue and diplomacy, highlighting that war, especially with the presence of nuclear weapons, is not a solution and would only bring suffering to the people of both countries.

In light of the current situation, the AIMPLB announced the postponement of its public meetings and programs until May 16. However, indoor activities such as roundtable discussions, interfaith dialogues, speeches in mosques, submissions of memorandums to district magistrates and collectors, and press conferences will continue as scheduled. The Board also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the security of Waqf properties.

The resolution was signed by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani (President), Maulana Syed Arshad Madani (Vice President and President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind), Maulana Obaidullah Khan Azmi (Vice President), Syed Saadatullah Husaini (Vice President and Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind), Maulana Asghar Imam Mahdi Salafi (Vice President), Maulana Muhammad Ali Mohsin Taqvi (Vice President and Imam of Kashmiri Gate Masjid, Delhi), Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rahim Mujaddidi (General Secretary), Maulana Syed Mahmood Asad Madani (Board Member), Maulana Syed Bilal Abdul Hai Hosni (Secretary), Maulana Muhammad Umreen Mahfooz Rahmani (Secretary), Maulana Dr. Yaseen Ali Usmani Badauni (Secretary), and Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas (Senior Member).
