Vadodara
Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the recent election results in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry have generated enthusiasm across the country.
Speaking after inaugurating the Sardardham Hostel in Vadodara, Modi also praised the BJP’s performance in Gujarat’s local body and panchayat elections, calling the results “magnificent”.
“The results from West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry have created an atmosphere of enthusiasm across the entire country,” the Prime Minister said, adding that the Gujarat local body poll outcomes were also being widely discussed nationwide.
Modi said the people of Gujarat have consistently valued political stability and linked this to the state’s economic growth and repeated electoral successes.
“This reflects the political foresight of the people here. They understand the significance of political stability, and wherever political stability prevails, the pace of economic growth accelerates,” he said.
The Prime Minister added that Gujarat had understood this “fundamental truth” long ago and that the state’s development and successive election victories reflected that understanding.
Describing his visit as emotionally significant, Modi said that coming to Gujarat and participating in public programmes there “truly feels as though I have returned home”.
Earlier in the day, Modi attended the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav at Somnath Temple, commemorating 75 years since the inauguration of the restored temple.
