Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday paid tribute to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, saying that “our identity from birth to the final journey should be that of an Indian.”
Speaking at a programme marking the 63rd foundation day of the Uttar Pradesh Homeguards, Adityanath referred to Ambedkar’s death anniversary as a day of inspiration.
“Babasaheb has inspired every Indian. He believed that our identity is not defined by family, caste, region, or language, but that every Indian should carry the feeling of being Indian throughout life,” the CM said.
