Beed
A 16-year-old boy from Maharashtra’s Beed district displayed remarkable resolve by appearing for his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination shortly before performing the last rites of his father, who died in a road accident.
Yuvraj Pachpute’s father, Santosh Pachpute, sustained serious injuries when two cars collided on Tuesday night. He succumbed to his injuries the following morning, according to family members.
Despite the tragedy and the gathering of relatives and neighbours at their home in Georai tehsil, the family chose to prioritise Yuvraj’s education and encouraged him to sit for his examination.
With his father’s body kept at home, Yuvraj went to his exam centre at a nearby ashram school and appeared for the Hindi paper between 11 am and 2 pm on Wednesday.
