The BJP’s strong performance in West Bengal should be credited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and party workers, Goa BJP chief Damodar Naik said on Monday.
With the BJP leading in 194 out of 294 Assembly seats, the party appeared on course to form the government in West Bengal, where counting of votes was underway.
Naik said the result reflected sustained efforts by the party to strengthen its presence in the state. He added that the “clear majority” was the outcome of leadership at the top and the dedicated work of party cadres on the ground.

He also alleged that BJP workers faced difficulties during the campaign due to actions by TMC supporters but continued their efforts, which ultimately contributed to the party’s performance.
