Several schools in Shimla were evacuated on Monday after receiving a bomb threat via email, causing panic among school authorities, police said.
According to officials, multiple schools received identical emails warning that explosives had been planted on their premises. Acting swiftly, school administrations alerted the police, who evacuated the buildings and conducted detailed searches.
After thorough inspection, no suspicious objects were found inside any of the schools, police confirmed.
Parents were also informed about the threat, prompting many to rush to school premises to take their children home. Bomb disposal squads carried out precautionary checks and mock drills as part of the security response.

Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said investigations are underway to trace the source of the email, which did not include any sender details or identification.
