Copper futures rise on firm spot demand

New Delhi

Copper futures rose by Rs 18 to Rs 1,396.30 per kg on Monday due to higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery rose by Rs 18, or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 1,396.30 per kilogram in a business turnover of 3,189 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
