In all 5o Muslim names figure in the list of 1,016 successful candidates in the UPSC Civil services Examination 2023, the result of which was declared on Tuesday.

There is palpable excitement over the fact that 50 Muslim youth have cleared the coveted examination that gives an opportunity to them to grow to the top positions in Indian administration.

Though the UPSC doesn’t disclose the religion of the candidates, these names are based on the general understanding of how Indians name their children and have been dug out by activitists.

On social media people are sharing the list of Muslims and speaking about it:

Author Syed Ubaidur Rahman said:

Two Muslim youth in #UPSC Civil Services top ten, alhamdulillah. Overall 51 Muslim boys and girls have qualified this year, alhamdulillah.

However, Ruhani's religion is not confirmed.

Akshay Arya of the Cotton University, Guwahati, Assam says:

This time 51 Muslim students have been selected in UPSC CSE, in the 2022 result this number was 29 and in the 2021 result 25 Muslim students were selected. That means you can say that the selection of Muslim students in UPSC is increasing year by year.#UPSC #UPSC2024 pic.twitter.com/ZIMzXxzbap

However, some Muslim activists are sayinfg more Muslims must work hard and aim to join the Indian civil services.UPSC
