Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday emphasized that citizens are more concerned with effective governance than the renaming of institutions.
“Name change is fine, but there should be a change in the functioning as well. People are not bothered about the names; they look at our work,” he said, responding to the renaming of Raj Bhawan across the country as Lok Bhawan.
On administrative matters, Abdullah said the reservation quota file has been sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval. He also assured that electricity supply will be strictly maintained during peak winter.
