V D Satheesan on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi in his first interaction with the Prime Minister after taking office following the Congress-led UDF’s victory in the recent state elections.

The Prime Minister's Office shared details of the meeting in a post on X.

Following the meeting, Satheesan said he discussed several issues related to Keralam’s development and sought continued support and cooperation from the Centre for the state’s future progress.

As a gesture during the meeting, the chief minister presented Modi with a statuette of a Kathakali dancer, symbolising Keralam’s classical dance-drama tradition and cultural heritage.
