Hyderabad
Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday requested A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, to intervene and ensure completion of the pending land acquisition required for a service road beneath the Amberpet flyover in Hyderabad.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Reddy said that although the flyover at Amberpet Cross Roads was inaugurated last year, the service road below it remains unfinished, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The 1.5-kilometre-long four-lane flyover on NH-163 was constructed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways at a cost of ₹265 crore to ease traffic congestion and improve travel time in the city. The project was inaugurated on May 5, 2025, by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
However, Reddy said that the service road under the flyover could not be completed because the land acquisition process is still pending. As a result, commuters using this key route continue to face difficulties.
The Secunderabad MP said he had earlier taken up the matter with the Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and had also appealed to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao as well as the current chief minister to resolve the issue.

He urged Revanth Reddy to instruct the concerned authorities to address the land acquisition hurdles so that the service road can be completed at the earliest.
