The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday held discussions with Herve Couraye, Advisor to TouchLab, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, to explore potential collaboration in artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies, according to an official release.

TouchLab, an AI-driven firm operating in the UK, Tokyo and the United States, shared insights into its global work in advanced artificial intelligence solutions and its participation in an upcoming international AI Summit. The company is currently working at a proof-of-concept stage for an AI Centre, which could open possibilities for future partnerships and expansion.

During the interaction, the Madhya Pradesh delegation highlighted the state’s growing capabilities as a technology and AI destination. Emphasis was placed on the availability of cost-effective and dependable power infrastructure, which is crucial for data centres and compute-heavy operations. The state also showcased NATRAX, India’s largest automotive testing and validation facility, as a key asset for advanced mobility solutions, AI-enabled testing and next-generation technology development.

The discussions also covered opportunities in education and research collaborations, particularly involving small and medium enterprises, with the aim of strengthening applied innovation. The state underlined its startup ecosystem, which includes more than 6,000 registered startups, presenting opportunities for piloting, scaling and co-developing new technologies.

TouchLab expressed interest in exploring the use of its technologies in areas such as cybersecurity and online gaming. These sectors align with Madhya Pradesh’s policies promoting Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) and broader digital innovation initiatives.

Both sides agreed to continue engagement to identify specific avenues for collaboration, including AI-based pilot projects, ecosystem-level partnerships and the possible launch of technology-driven initiatives within the state.

The interaction reflects Madhya Pradesh’s broader push to establish itself as a competitive hub for artificial intelligence, deeptech innovation and future-oriented digital industries, the release added.

Earlier in the day, the state government delegation also met Jasmin Hume, CEO and founder of Shiru, an AI-powered protein discovery company, to discuss potential cooperation in advanced protein technologies, agri-based inputs and applied research.
