Mamata to return as West Bengal CM again: Tejashwi

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has exuded confidence that Mamata Banerjee would become West Bengal chief minister for the fourth consecutive term as he attended the ruling party's roadshows in North 24 Parganas district.

Yadav, who arrived here on Friday and attended back-to-back roadshows in Jagaddal, Bhatpara and Khardaha assembly constituencies.

In a post on X, he said, "A roadshow was held with enthusiasm and excitement in support of TMC candidate Amit Gupta from the Bhatpara Assembly constituency under the Barrackpore Lok Sabha area in North 24 Parganas district and TMC candidate from Jagaddal, Somnath Shyam."

After attending a rally at Kharadaha assembly seat in support of TMC candidate Devdeep Purohit, the RJD leader said, "The unwavering love, firm trust, and overwhelming public support from the people clearly indicate that the people of Bengal have made up their minds to bless CM Mamata Banerjee with a resounding majority for a fourth consecutive term."

Upon arriving in Kolkata, Yadav was asked to comment on Raghav Chadha crossing over to the BJP from AAP. He replied, "Some people compromise. He must have joined the BJP out of fear or greed."
