Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Monday said that Chief Minister M K Stalin has emerged as a leader whose guidance is sought by political leaders across the country.
Speaking to reporters, Udhayanidhi Stalin, who also serves as the DMK Youth Wing secretary, said his father’s leadership has extended beyond Tamil Nadu. “MK Stalin is a leader who guides not just Tamil Nadu but the entire nation. Several Opposition leaders across India believe that the democratic fight against the BJP should be led under his leadership,” he said.
His remarks come at a time when seat-sharing discussions are underway between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Congress ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Earlier, addressing the southern zone BLA-2, BLC and BDA training conference at Kalaignar Thidal in Madurai, Chief Minister Stalin said the DMK had worked to ensure that voters were not removed from electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in the state.
He claimed that while voter deletions were reported in several parts of the country, Tamil Nadu was safeguarded due to the party’s efforts. Referring to the DMK alliance’s victories in the 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Stalin said the Centre was “fearful” of the party’s growing strength.
