President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday expressed grief over the loss of lives in stone quarry accident in Karnataka's Bengaluru and offered her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Eight workers, mostly from Bihar, were killed after a massive granite rock collapsed at a stone quarry in Bengaluru South Taluk on Thursday.

"Pained by the loss of lives in an accident at a stone quarry in Bengaluru Urban District of Karnataka. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured," Murmu said on X.
