Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said countries around the world are increasingly enthusiastic about India’s youth and technological advancement, asserting that global partnerships are opening new employment opportunities for young Indians.
Addressing the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela after virtually distributing more than 51,000 appointment letters, Modi said he observed strong global confidence in India’s growth during his recently concluded five-nation tour.
“I just returned from a trip to five countries two days ago. During this visit, I interacted with leaders of major companies and governments from several countries, and one thing was common everywhere — the world is very excited about India’s youth and technological progress,” he said.
The prime minister said many countries and global companies are eager to become part of India’s development journey, adding that the government also wants Indian youth to gain international exposure.
Highlighting India’s growing role in global supply chains, Modi referred to an agreement between Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML and Tata Group, saying the partnership would create employment opportunities and help India access next-generation technologies.
He also cited technology and artificial intelligence collaborations with countries such as Sweden and supercomputing cooperation with the United Arab Emirates as examples of efforts that would strengthen India’s technological capabilities.
Modi further said sectors such as clean energy, critical minerals, green hydrogen and sustainable manufacturing are expanding rapidly and creating opportunities in the emerging global economy.
“Partnerships related to green transition and sustainable technology are increasing with countries like Sweden, Norway and Italy,” he said, adding that collaborations with the UAE and Norway would strengthen India’s shipbuilding ecosystem.
Congratulating the newly recruited candidates, Modi said they were joining public service at an important stage in the country’s development journey and would play a key role in building a “Viksit Bharat”.
