Razia Bibi was three years old when her family moved to Pakistan occupied Kashmir just by crossing over a couple of hills on foot; she was married to a Kashmiri Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in 2008. Ten years later, her husband is dead – he was killed in an encounter in Banipora, North Kashmir; he has returned home with her three children and a sense of disillusionment about the life she had led so far.

“I have been here for 15 days and for the first time, we have slept well,” she said about her return home.

Razia Bibi has a clear message for the youth in Kashmir who gets lured by the fancy promises of terror group recruiters. She says her life is an example of what happens to their families once they are dead.

Razia said after her husband’s death three years ago, she was left to fend for herself and her three children. “When they take you (as terrorist) they make promises that are never kept after the militant is dead,” she said. she said nitially, after her husband’s death, she was given a small allowance for a few months. That too was discontinued. “They cut off their connection and dissociate from us.”

She said her children had to go to sleep empty stomach; for Eid, they didn’t have clothes to wear. We lived a life of penury and destitution not knowing where the next meal will come from.”

Fifteen days ago, she raised money to return to her home. She has been supported by Army and J&K Police. “My children are so happy here.”“I ask the Kashmiri youth not to misuse the religion for jihad. Your jihad is to protect and provide for your family,” Razia says. She asks the youth not to get swayed by Pakistan’s propaganda and work for their country.

She said, “I didn’t see humanism in Pakistan; here back home, I was so overwhelmed the way I was owned and welcomed by the locals, Police, and security forces.”

She says she has seen her children in a playful mood after a long time.
Razia said, "The real paradise is in India and not in Pakistan. I do not understand how people live in Pakistan."

Razia is also cursing those terrorist organizations, on whose misguided husband her husband chose the path of terror. Razia said, 'Pakistani agents are misleading the youth of Kashmir and making them terrorists. By being trapped in such a conspiracy, not only the youth are ruining their own lives, but they are also pushing their families into poverty and difficulty.”
Razia says, she has seen widows of terrorists with 11 children, some with toddlers they are left to fend for themselves after their husbands' death.
