In a shocking incident, terrorists barged into a government school in downtown Srinagar and shot dead two teachers after lining all the staff and picking two non-Muslims as their targets.

It comes as with two days of terrorists killing a Kashmiri Pandit businessman and a street hawker from Bihar in cold blood.

The deceased have been identified as Satinder Kour, Principal, and Deepak Chand Mehra, a teacher serving in Government Boys' Higher Secondary School, Idgah.

Both of them were shot from close range and were declared dead on reaching the hospital, police said.

The brazen attack is clearly a change of tactics of the pro-Pakistan terrorists by shifting the focus of their campaign from security forces to members of minority communities, who are highly vulnerable.

Reports coming in suggest that the terrorists had asked all the staff to fall in. They took away their phones and identity cards. Finally, they asked the Muslims to leave while they shot Satinder Kour and Deepak Chand in cold blood inside the school premises.

Police Inspector General, Kashmir Vijay Kumar confirmed the killings and said the security forces have reached the area.
