The Bhagavad Gita recitation competition was held for school students in Suryapet by Bhagwat Geeta Mandir and Dharmakaya Ekya Vedika in Suryapet. More than 250 students from different schools participated in this competition.

The 9-year-old Muslim girl Tahira Naz won the first prize. Ramanuja Jayar Swamy awarded the first, second, and third prizes to the winners at a function held at the local public club on the occasion of Geeta Jayanthi.

In this competition, Sheikh Tahira Naz, a third-grade student of a government school in Ambedkar Nagar, Suryapet, won the first position by reciting 10 verses fluently.
