Kochi
Two persons, including a native of West Bengal, were arrested with more than 12 kg of ganja near Edappally here on Saturday, police said.
According to the Kochi City Police, the arrested accused have been identified as Kasim Sardar (34), a native of Murshidabad, and Ajay Abhishek (24), a resident of Aluva.
Police said the West Bengal native was allegedly involved in the ganja trade under the cover of running a scrap business.
The arrests were made following a tip-off received by Kochi City Police Commissioner Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, officials said.

A team of the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF), led by Narcotics Cell Assistant Commissioner T D Sunil Kumar, carried out the operation and arrested the duo, police added.
