Two workers were killed and another injured after a steamer exploded during repair work at a juice factory in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night in Aglar, where three workers—identified as Saurabh Singh, Shiv Kumar and Raj Kumar—were carrying out repairs on the equipment when the blast took place.

All three were rushed to a hospital with severe injuries. Saurabh Singh died later that night, while Shiv Kumar succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. Raj Kumar is currently undergoing treatment.

Officials said the victims are residents of Uttar Pradesh.
