Hansika Motwani calls family her biggest support after divorce

Actor Hansika Motwani has spoken candidly about how her family helped her through a challenging phase following her divorce from Sohael Khaturiya. The couple was granted a mutual consent divorce by a family court in Mumbai’s Bandra on March 11, 2026.

Reflecting on the difficult period, Hansika shared that her mother, Mona Motwani, and brother, Prashant Motwani, stood firmly by her side. She described them as her strongest emotional support system, saying they always respected her choices without imposing their own decisions, and focused on her well-being and happiness.

In a recent interaction, Hansika highlighted that her family noticed the emotional toll she was going through and encouraged her to prioritise her mental health. She added that their unconditional support helped her navigate a “dark phase” and regain balance in her life.

Addressing public chatter around her separation, the actor noted that she prefers not to engage in speculation, stating that only the individuals involved truly understand what happens in a relationship. She emphasised her belief in moving forward without regrets and focusing on personal peace.

Hansika also clarified through her legal representative that she has not sought any alimony or maintenance from her former husband, as her intention was to bring a respectful and peaceful closure to the marriage.

The actor, known for films like Aap Kaa Surroor, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, and My Name Is Shruthi, is now focused on her personal well-being and professional commitments moving ahead.
