India delivered an impressive performance at the Global Esports Games, securing a gold medal and a world championship title in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.

India’s Anuhith Gosala emerged victorious in the Clash Royale finals, defeating Kazakhstan’s Miras 3-2 in a closely contested match to claim the top honour. In another highlight, the Indian DOTA 2 team bagged a bronze medal, while Turkiye clinched gold in the category.

India’s road to the Clash Royale title was far from easy. The team overcame the USA 2-1 in the lower bracket final to book a spot in the grand finale. Earlier, Kazakhstan had defeated India 2-0 in the upper bracket final to reach the summit clash.

The final proved to be a thrilling encounter, with both players exchanging wins before Gosala sealed the contest 3-2, bringing home the gold medal.

In DOTA 2, India’s campaign ended with a bronze after a loss to Mongolia in the lower bracket final. Mongolia went on to face Turkiye in the final, where the latter secured a 3-1 victory to take gold.

Reflecting on his win, Gosala described the moment as unforgettable, especially performing in front of a home audience. He highlighted the intense preparation and pressure throughout the tournament, adding that the victory was a proud moment for the country and a source of inspiration for aspiring gamers.

Shripad Ashtekar, founder of Eflag Corp, said the event showcased not only elite competition but also the growing ecosystem of esports, innovation, and global collaboration. He expressed hope that such platforms would continue to create opportunities for Indian players and the wider AVGC sector.
