International Cricket Council on Tuesday retained India men's national cricket team at the top of the latest T20 International rankings, with England men's national cricket team and Australia men's national cricket team occupying the second and third spots respectively.
India, who scripted history in March by becoming the first side to successfully defend the ICC Men's T20 World Cup title and clinch the trophy for a record third time, continue to lead the standings with 275 rating points. England are second with 262 points, while Australia are close behind on 258.
Explaining the annual update, the ICC said matches played since May 2025 have been given full weightage, while fixtures from the preceding two years carry a 50 per cent value in the revised calculations.
There has been no movement among the top seven teams. New Zealand men's national cricket team remain fourth with 247 points, followed by South Africa men's national cricket team on 244, Pakistan men's national cricket team on 240, and West Indies cricket team on 233.
There was movement just below them, with Bangladesh men's national cricket team climbing one place to eighth with 225 points, while Sri Lanka men's national cricket team dropped to ninth after losing six rating points and now have 221. Afghanistan men's national cricket team complete the top ten with 220 points.
Further down the table, the United States men's national cricket team moved up two spots to 13th after gaining six points, overtaking the Netherlands men's national cricket team and Scotland men's national cricket team.

The ICC also said the number of ranked teams has reduced from 102 to 98, as Fiji, Gambia, Greece and Israel failed to meet the minimum requirement of eight T20Is over the last three years.
