Eram Khan, known to millions on social media as "Mom's Passion," (Instagram handle @momspassion) is more than a content creator. She represents resilience, determination, and the ability to rebuild life after adversity.
A miscarriage at a time when she was living far from her family left her emotionally devastated. Instead of allowing grief to consume her, she transformed her pain into purpose, creating content that today inspires thousands of women to pursue their dreams.
In an interview with Awaz-The Voice, Eram said she had always been ambitious. After completing her education in Lucknow, she worked as a Human Resources professional. Like many young women, she looked forward to building a happy family and a promising future.
After marriage, she moved to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with her husband. Adjusting to a new country and life away from loved ones was challenging, but she gradually settled in. Then tragedy struck.
The miscarriage was not merely a medical setback; it was an emotional upheaval that changed her life. With family far away and few close friends around, she struggled with loneliness and found herself sinking into despair.
Seeking a way to heal, she turned to social media. At a time when Instagram was still largely a platform for sharing photos and short videos, she created a page called "Eram's Cooking Journey."
Cooking had always been her passion. What began as a hobby soon became a source of comfort. Through short recipe videos, she slowly reconnected with herself. Preparing content encouraged her to smile, stay engaged, and focus on something positive. Social media became a safe space where she felt appreciated rather than judged.
Looking back, she believes content creation played a crucial role in helping her emerge from one of the darkest periods of her life.
She credits much of her journey to the unwavering support of her husband. While she filmed, edited videos, and often worked late into the night, he encouraged her and helped care for the family.
In 2019, she welcomed her son, a milestone that transformed both her life and her content. Her videos expanded beyond cooking to include motherhood experiences, parenting tips, and the everyday joys and challenges of raising children.
She later renamed her page "Mom's Passion," a title she felt reflected a mother's love, struggles, ambitions, and identity. Over time, the name became synonymous with her own.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 proved to be a turning point. Whether sharing Dalgona coffee recipes, Ramadan specials, or simple family moments, her authentic content resonated with audiences.
Her appeal lay in her relatability. She appeared exactly as she was—a busy Indian mother managing a home, caring for children, and navigating life's ups and downs. Followers saw their own experiences reflected in her videos, and her audience steadily grew.
A year later, she returned to Lucknow to live with her joint family. Although she found warmth and support there, family responsibilities left little time for content creation. When her husband was transferred to Udaipur, she briefly feared that her dreams might have to be put on hold.
However, a subsequent move to Delhi opened new doors. The city offered fresh opportunities, valuable connections, and renewed confidence. It was there that she secured her first major PR collaboration—a modest store visit that marked a significant milestone in her professional journey.
For the first time, she felt that people were taking her work seriously. More collaborations followed, brands began approaching her, and invitations to events increased. Gradually, she became known not just as an influencer but as a genuine voice for mothers.
The journey was not without challenges. She faced criticism over her hijab, her clothing choices, and even accusations that she was using her children for fame. The comments affected her deeply, and for a period she stopped featuring her children in videos.
Eventually, she asked herself a simple question: "Am I harming my children?" When the answer was no, she decided not to let negativity dictate her choices. Her husband's advice strengthened her resolve: "If your intentions are right, no one's words matter."
Today, Eram Khan inspires millions through her content. Her followers do more than watch her videos—they connect with her story. Many women have found the confidence to begin their own creative journeys after seeing her success.
