Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Tuesday personally drove Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Jordan Museum during the latter’s official visit to the country.

The Crown Prince accompanied the Prime Minister for the museum visit, which formed part of Modi’s engagements in Amman.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs said Modi was also scheduled to address the India-Jordan Business Forum, bringing together business leaders from both countries to explore opportunities for enhanced economic cooperation.

Briefing the media ahead of the visit, MEA Secretary (South) Neena Malhotra had said the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Crown Prince, was expected to visit the Jordan Museum later in the day.

She added that several memoranda of understanding and agreements had been finalised between the two sides in areas including new and renewable energy, digital technology, water management, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

Later, Modi described the outcomes of his Jordan visit as an important step in strengthening bilateral ties, noting that cooperation across sectors reflected the growing depth of the partnership between New Delhi and Amman.

In a post on X, he said collaboration in renewable energy underscored the shared commitment of both countries to clean growth, energy security and climate responsibility.

The agreements concluded during the visit include an MoU on technical cooperation in renewable energy, an MoU on water resources management and development, a twinning agreement between Petra and Ellora, renewal of the cultural exchange programme for 2025–29, and a letter of intent on sharing digital public solutions.

Prime Minister Modi was received on arrival by Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and later welcomed by King Abdullah II at Al Husseiniya Palace, where the two leaders held talks on bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
