A Pakistani Army General has admitted that he has been hired by the Chinese companies to crush insurgency in Balochistan.

As per the report published in Bangladeshi newspaper Sun, Major General Ayman Bilal told a jirga, meeting of tribal heads, "China has deployed me here to crush the Baloch movement and has given me a six-month."

"If the threat of FATF is averted, we will go inside Iran and take action. Iran is the biggest enemy of Pakistan which has a direct hand in the instability of Balochistan," he told the meeting at Turbat.

Interestingly, the heads of ‘death squad from Pedarak, Yasir Bahram, head of state death squad Nagor Dasht, Hasil Kolwahi and heads of armed groups that are working on state parole from Tump, Mand, Buleda, Zamuran, Dasht and Hoshap areas, also attended the jirga.

The ‘death squads’ are obviously comprise the non-state actors that are used by the Pakistani State for strategic purposes inside and outside the country. Pakistan government has never been discreet about its relationship with such ‘death squads.’

Maj Gen Bilal leads the para-military force called Frontier Force and holds the rank of Inspector General.

While admitting to the jirga that he had been posted by China in Balochistan because of his 30-year experience the Army officer said “I am being paid a hefty salary.”

"China has paid me a salary and a large sum of money and officially posted me here for their regional interests and to thwart Iran's conspiracies against CPEC, as it is a kind of investment in regional interests," he said.

Bilal said that ending the Baloch movement was crucial for the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for both the countries.

"We have a good amount of money for this task, so let us know how much you need because we can't wait any longer for Iran to create unrest in Balochistan, conspire against CPEC and stab us in the stomach in the name of friendship," he is reported to have said.

Bilal told the gathering that Iran was the biggest enemy of Pakistan.

Maj Gen Bilal said, "The threat of FATF is averted we will go inside Iran and teach the Baloch separatists a lesson that their future generations will remember. At the moment we have the option to take action within 25 kilometres of the Iranian border and we will use this on time,"

The Baloch people are up in arms against Pakistan for giving control of and local resources to China for making Gwadar port and colonies for its settlers. Pakistan had to recently abandon fencing of CPEC road in Balochistan after the overseas rebels raised a hue and cry over it in the social media.

Karima Baloch

Pakistan Army’s atrocities on the Baloch people have figured in the international forums. Recently Karima Baloch, a Canada-based Baloch human rights campaigner was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Another Baloch expatriate who had fled Pakistan to Sweden was found dead under similar circumstances. It may be recalled that former President Pervez Musharraf had openly asked Islamabad that it needs to eliminate the Baloch dissidents who are working against Pakistan abroad.(With Inputs from IANS)
