101 Muslims clear BPSC; 50 coached by Haj Bhawan

The sustained efforts put by the Bihar Haj Bhavan into coaching Muslim aspirants for the State civil services in Bihar have born results. As the results for the 64th Combined Civil Services were announced by the Bihar Public Service Commission on Sunday, 101 Muslim candidates had been declared successful.

This number constitutes 7 per cent representation to the community, the highest so far.

The list of successful candidates of Bihar civil services comprises 1454 names out of which 101 happen to be Muslims.

Interestingly 50 selected Muslim aspirants have been imparted coaching for the examination from Bihar Haj Bhavan. Among the selected Muslim candidates are four police officers including a woman, who will start their careers as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP)

The results of this examination have been delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The examination was held in 2017 and it took four years for the process to culminate in a happy occasion for many.

Om Prakash Gupta has topped the coveted examination. Apart from them, Vidyasagar, Anurag Anand, Vishal, Shashank Barnwal, Ajit Kumar, Alok Kumar, Nikhil Kumar, Raghavendra Mani Tripathi and Deepak Kumar have ranked from first to tenth place respectively.

Among those who became successful after being coached in Haj Bhawan are Adil Bilal at the rank number 22, Faisal Raza, Shahnawaz Akhtar and Razia Sultana – all selected as Police officers Others to have benefitted from the coaching include Mohammad Wasim, Shahbaz Hussain, Rushda Rehman, Shuaib Zaman, Adil Raza, Shafqat Taufeeq, Nazish Ali, Sarina Azad, Zahid Akhtar Ansari, Mohammad Sabihul Hasan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Athar Zamil Mohammad Asif Hussain, Nurul Arfin, Aiman ​​Fatima, Mohammed Rais Alam, Sabiha Sadaf Sadia, Mohammed Shakib Alauddin, Mohammed Ejaz Alam, Shadab Alam, Mohammed Jamshed, Nazmul Hasan, Mohammed Numan, Shamima Khatoon, Sadi Rauf, Mohammad Sarvar Alam, Shamma Parveen, Nazmi Akram, Mudassir Saba Nazmi, Asif Alam, Parvez Alam, Tabassum, Noor Jahan, Jahan Ara, Mohammad Saifullah, Aftab Alam, Alauddin Ansari, Mohammad Qaiser Alam, Sania Sonam Ejaz, Mohammad Ataul Haq, Ruqiya, Fauzia Ghazal, Seema Khatoon, Masuma Khatoon.

Haj Bhavan Coaching

Haj Bhavan located on Patna’s Harding Road is a mixture of religion and worldly affairs. On one hand, Muslims going on Haj pilgrimage are trained here and on the other hand, minority youth are trained to give coaching and guidance to clear examinations that make them officers in civil and police services.

The coaching and guidance of Haj Bhavan, run by the Minorities Welfare Department, The government of Bihar, has infused new enthusiasm among the young men and women of the minority community.

Under this program, the Minority Welfare Department provides all kinds of facilities to the candidates for the preparation of the competitive examination. The candidates also get free residential coaching for the preparation of BPSC. A library is open for them for 24 hours.

Children from all over Bihar reach here to take advantage of the free residential coaching scheme. In the 64th batch of BPSC, 101 students were preparing from here, of which 50 have got success. In view of the encouraging results of Haj Bhavan, similar coaching arrangements have been made in Bhagalpur and Darbhanga.

Apart from BPSC, 867 candidates being coached here have cleared Bihar Police services examinations to start their careers from Sub Inspector, Excise Sub Inspector, Constables in Jail Police and Driver etc.

Preparation for Physical training, Mains and Interview are done free of cost in the Bhavan. Amir Subhani, the former Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, also takes classes and he is a hit with the students.

Adil Bilal, a resident of Darbhanga told Awaz-the Voice that Haj Bhavan coaching has benefited him a lot in the preparation of BPSC Mains. There is a good environment to study and teach. “ We prepare with dedication. Aamir Subhani Sir has also inspired us a lot in our success.”

Adil's father Mohammad Shaukat Ansari is Associate Professor of English in MLSM College, Darbhanga. He said he is very happy with the success of the son.

He wrote on his Facebook page: 'I am very thankful to Allah Pak, my second son Bilal has achieved great success with the blessings of you guys. We had just departed from Maghrib prayer that our Lord Allah has made us aware of the news of happiness.”

Sarwat Jahan Fatima, the mother of Sabiha Sadaf, who is going to become a gazetted officer after preparing from Haj Bhavan coaching is the spokesperson of Bihar Pradesh Congress.
