Shamshad Qasmi is deputy chief o Imarat-e-Sharia

Maulana Mohammed Shamshad Rahmani Qasmi has been appointed as the deputy chief of Imarat-e-Shariat. The is a religious-social institution of Muslims of three states namely Bihar, Jharkhand, and Orissa.
His appointed is significant as it’s done soon after the chief of the organization Maulana Mohammed Wali Rahmani is admitted to hospital in Phulwarisharif in Patna due to his failing health.
Hailing from Araria, Qasmi has the reputation of a scholar with a deeper understanding of social issues and religious matters and also wields enough influence on society. He has taught various subjects in Darul Uloom.
With his appointment, Imarat-e-Sharia has come under the control of the Deoband-educated scholar and it’s a welcome change.
Till now, Mufti Anjar Qasmi was appointed the Qazi-e-Shariat and now Maulana Mohammed Shamshad Rahmani Qasmi has been appointed as deputy head of the Imarat-e-Shariat.
